About Anna

Helping people communicate, learn and thrive across cultures and contexts

For more than 30 years, communication has been at the centre of my work — and my curiosity.

I am a communication specialist, educator and learning consultant with extensive experience helping individuals and organisations build confidence, capability and connection.

From intercultural communication and higher education to workplace learning and professional development, my work focuses on helping people translate their knowledge and expertise into practical skills they can use in real-world contexts.

My interest in communication began long before it became my profession. From studying Japanese and living and working overseas, to delivering training across the Asia-Pacific region, I’ve been fortunate to learn from people across many cultures and communities.

These experiences continue to shape my belief that effective communication is not about changing who we are — it’s about creating understanding, building confidence and helping people share their ideas.

My Experience

I have worked across higher education, workplace learning and international programs, designing and facilitating learning experiences for diverse groups of professionals and learners. Over more than three decades, my work has centred on helping people communicate across different contexts — from university classrooms and workplaces to international education programs and cross-cultural learning environments.

My experience includes:

  • professional and academic communication development

  • workshops and group facilitation

  • learning resource design

  • intercultural communication and international education programs

  • transition, mentoring and peer learning initiatives

How I Work

My approach is practical, inclusive and strengths-based.

I believe meaningful learning happens when people feel respected, supported and able to participate. Whether I am coaching an individual, facilitating a workshop or developing resources, my focus is on creating learning experiences that recognise people’s existing strengths while supporting growth.

Effective communication is not about changing who we are — it is about developing the confidence and skills to share our ideas, connect with others and continue learning.
